Welcome friends, foodies and anyone who would like to join in the fun at l’école des gourmands heureux – the school of happy eaters!
Just two hours’ drive north of Sydney in the stunning Hunter Valley wine region, Millfield Hall is a historic community hall on the original convict trail. Having been lovingly restored as a family home, it’s also a centre for the celebration of food, wine and local produce. Millfield Hall Cooking School is opening soon, and we are confirming a schedule of cooking classes, special guest chefs and workshop dates, so please leave your details to subscribe for updates.
Our provincial-style kitchen and living space, with huge covered deck overlooking the valley, will be the venues for year-round day and evening classes, as well as corporate and private events. We offer regional French and Tuscan cooking, plus pizza-making in our wood-fired oven. There will also be special workshops showcasing regional produce and great Hunter Valley chefs and winemakers, as well as guest chefs from around the country who will teach a variety of cuisines and techniques.
Our classes are for people who want to learn more about food and have a good time while they do it. They can be tailor-made for those who want to be hands-on, as well as those who just want to enjoy the demonstration and the lunch!
We specialise in corporate groups, team building, and private group bookings, and can design a day to suit everyone, weekend or mid week. From conference groups looking for something different, to groups of friends who just want to have fun.
Gift Vouchers are also available and with Father's Day coming up, a day in the Hunter Valley at Millfield Hall would be a perfect gift for Dad.
